Grey Cottage on Clear Lake

This cottage is on the north west side of Clear Lake and though it has an imposing presence, the colour and front landscape makes it inobtrusive.   This was painted from many photographs - getting close ups of all the sections & details - so that every rock and plant was painted in the right place. Note also the red chairs, that the owner  pointed out were a specific shade of red. These red chairs draw your attention to the flag and wind sock and then your eye is drawn to the sitting area above the boathouse.

This artwork is acrylic on watercolour paper, that has been treated with a protective finish, then mounted on an acid free base, so it is ready to be framed (not supplied) with a mat and glass if desired.
